Don’t you love it when Marvel comes out with another movie? It’s the single-most reason for survival in many people’s life. After that heartbreaking, nerve-spinning, head-crashing end of Avengers: Infinity War, two movies are really important.
Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel are going to include things that will eventually lead to the last installment of the Avengers series, the fourth untitled film. There was one question we all had ever since the poster of Infinity War came out.
Where exactly are Ant-Man and Hawkeye? We do get to know the location of one of them. Ant-Man and the Wasp is the answer to what has been up with Scott Lang and why he wasn’t there for his friends. Let’s get to the Ant-Man and the Wasp Review and know what’s in store in the future –
1. The absence explained
Avengers Infinity War didn’t have Ant-Man surprising everyone at the battlefield with his amazing powers as he did in Civil War. Ant-Man and the Wasp explain where Scott Lang has been all this while. He’s been on house arrest for two years and he religiously follows it for Cassie’s sake. Okay, your excuse is accepted by us, Scott. Clint better has a good reason like this.
2. Hank Pym is the boss
Why people love Marvel is partially because of the characters and partially because of the use of technology. Although most of it is unrealistic, you sort of wants to own them one day. After Tony Stark and Shuri’s tech, Hank Pym’s lab is what we want for ourselves. Ant-Man and the Wasp would be nothing without Hank Pym’s tech. There wouldn’t be Ant-Man and the Wasp without him.
3. A lot of Quantum Realm
One thing common about almost all the characters in Ant-Man and the Wasp is the use of the word ‘quantum’. Everybody’s talking about it. In the first installment, Ant-Man makes it back from the Quantum Realm surprising everyone, as people don’t get back from there. Hank’s wife Janet has been stuck there since 1987. Seeing Scott come out of there, Hank and Hope start working towards getting Janet back from there.
4. A family reunion
Cutting the story short, after a lot of villains trying to shut Hank and Hope’s effort down, with Scott helping them out, they are finally able to rescue Janet. Scott risks his house arrest to make that possible but is able to fool the officer in charge. We all have a few laughs at the expense of Luis and the X-Con Security crew. Scott is able to meet Cassie outside the house towards the end. But you know Marvel is not a fairy tale.
5. Ant-Man and the Wasp will return?
There are one mid-credit scene and one post-credit scene in the movie. It’s okay if you skip the latter. The former will give you Infinity War flashbacks. Nobody will judge you if you cry like a baby remembering Peter’s last words to Tony. In the scene, Scott goes back to the quantum universe to gather some energy for a friend while Hank, Janet, and Hope are ready to help him get back. While Scott’s still in there, Hank, Hope, and Janet disintegrate.
