It’s the best time of the year for football fans all over the world. FIFA World Cup 2018 started on 14th June, hosted by Russia, which has the whole world glued to their television screens every evening till 15th July.
32 national teams will compete against each other to win the most coveted prize in International Football. A total of 64 matches will be played across 12 venues located in 11 cities of Western Russia.
FIFA World Cup is football’s biggest tournament. As it occurs every four years, national teams across the globe work towards qualifying for the cup. But only 32 teams make it to the final stage, for a competition that unites the world.
Among the favorite teams are Brazil, Spain, Germany, and France. All the teams have been divided into groups. The match proceeds from group stages to the round of 16, and then to the final four stages.

In Group A, Russia beat Saudi Arabia and Uruguay beat Egpyt. In Group B, Iran beat Morocco and the match between Portugal and Spain was drawn. In Group C, France beat Australia while Denmark beat Peru. In Group D, the match between Argentina and Iceland was drawn while Croatia beat Nigeria.
In Group E, Serbia beat Costa Rica while the match between Brazil and Switzerland was drawn. In Group F, Mexico beat Germany. Only one match has been played as of now in Group F, while no matches have been played in Group G and Group H.
