Can you believe that in 42 days it’ll be the 2017? We can’t too. The past few years have been flying away so quickly, we don’t even have time to catch up. While nothing good in going on in anybody’s life, Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC Extended Universe have got our backs. You may be single, unemployed and ugly in 2017, but you’re going to be entertained. The following are the movies MCU and DCEU have lined up for 2017 that will keep us occupied the whole year.
1. Wonder Woman
Gal Gadot and Chris Pine starrer Wonder Woman is surely a movie a DCEU fans are looking forward to. We saw more than a glimpse of in Batman vs Superman where she, let’s not kid ourselves, completely stole the show away. You know when you come out drooling over Wonder Women instead of Batman or Superman, she is frickin awesome. We’re all expecting a lot from the movie, and by the looks of it, it’s going to live up to all of our expectations.
2. Justice League
In Batman vs Superman, the world loses their hero Superman, and we Batman gathering his forces approaching Flash played by Ezra Miller in the mid credits scene. Suicide Squad also had a mid credits scenes where Bruce is seen gathering confidential information about metahumans from Amanda Waller, and we see Aquaman’s and Flash’s record. This was all a build up for Justice League that’s going to hit the theatres next year and we just cannot wait.
3. Thor Ragnarok
When it’s about seeing Chris Hemsworth in that dashing red Thor costume and long hair, you’re obviously going to be excited for this one. With the 5th Infinity stone being discovered in Doctor Strange, and the post credit scene of the same movie, we know there’s a lot going to be disclosed in this next installment of Marvel Cinematic Universe. Benedict Cumberbatch will be reprising his role as Doctor Strange, there’s going to be Tom Hiddleston as Loki and many characters returning back for one last time before the Avengers Infinity Wars. What’s not to be excited about?
4. Logan
Hugh Jackman, for one last time as Wolverine, and tears are rolling down everyone’s eyes. A part of the X-Men series, Logan will be the last time where Hugh reprises his role as Wolverine. His fans are desperately waiting for this movie, as it will be the third and last installment of the Wolverine series. X-Men Apocalypse saw the new X-Men casting where most characters were replaced. Patrick Stewart’s Professor X will also be the last time we see him doing that. This film is more of a farewell and we cannot wait.
5. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
The sequel to 2014’s Guardian of the Galaxy and 15th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Vol. 2 is awaited for many reasons. The questions of as to who has the sixth Infinity stone may be answered in this movie. Whether GOTG will be a part of the Avengers Infinity Wars like Doctor Strange’s mystical universe may also be answered here. What is Peter Quill’s true parentage is something we’ve been looking for quite a long time. Maybe this time we get to know as to where things are going. Also, Zoe Saldana *lovestruck emoji*.
6. Spider Man Homecoming
Tom Holland’s second appearance as the famous Marvel hero Spider Man after Captain America Civil War is another much awaited movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise. For the very first time, Tom Holland will be playing the character in a Spider Man stand alone movie showing the early years of the character. Robert Downey Jr. Reprises the role of Iron Man, who plays Spider man’s mentor. Zendaya is cast as Michelle, one of Parker’s classmate. Homecoming in much awaited to see the performance of Holland for he sure did kill it completely in Civil War.
2017 is going to be a year of superheroes.
