Pahlaj Nihalani is a well known name in this country. Not because of the right reasons though. He’s known for imposing sanskaars on Indians, even when they don’t ask for it. Alok Nath is more modern than Mr. Nihalani when it comes to the way of thinking. Recently, he challenged Times Now to get 1 lakh votes to include the word “intercourse” in Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal. What Mr. Nihalani probably didn’t know was that both the stars have millions of fans across the country. Another thing he probably didn’t know was that the audience of this country is pretty much tired of Mr. Nihalani deciding what they should be watching and what they shouldn’t. So no surprise here that Times was actually able to get more than 1 lakh people to agree that the word should be included in the trailer. This led to a reported following Mr. Nihalani in an elevator asking him to respond over it, and as expected, he was speechless. A video went viral where he tried his level best to maintain silence on what was being asked, and now it’s a meme. Following are some of the best of Pahlaj Nihalani avoiding the reporter memes and videos –

However, he did later say that the votes were from the millions of fans the two stars have and he would want to see whether how many ticket-paying members of the audience would agree to the word being used in the movie. Honestly, Mr. Nihalani, accepting defeat is not as hard as it seems. You got totally owned here.
This is how you make a fool of yourself on television.
