Five trailers that released this week

This week has been a busy week for Bollywood. One after another, trailers were dropped on the audience, and each one of them seems interesting. The following five movie trailers were released, ranging from comedy to action that tell us how busy the following months are going to be for us movie buffs. Watch them and see for yourself :

M S Dhoni

India’s most successful captain and cricket player, Mahendra Singh Dhoni needs no introduction. Everyone knows him, but not about him. His journey from being a ticket collector to Indian Team’s captain is inspiring that will be known to the world through this movie. M S Dhoni: The Untold Story is directed by Neeraj Pandey starring Sushant Singh Rajput playing Mahi. The trailer was unveiled just a few days ago and I can say this without a doubt, every Indian felt their hearts pumping and goosebumps as it ended. When just a trailer can have this kind of impact on millions of people, imagine what the movie can do. You can expect M S Dhoni to be a blockbuster because this will have the Bollywood as well as cricket fans gripped. M S Dhoni is scheduled to release on September 30.

When a movie is produced by the brilliant Shoojit Sircar, you know it’s one worth waiting for. Known for Vicky Donor and Piku, Shoojit Sircar is the producer of Pink. The film stars Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, a blessing to Bollywood and Taapsee Pannu, a South Indian actress who may be new to this industry but will be a popular name after the movie releases. Pink is a courtroom drama thriller revolving around a molestation that leads to an accident. Fighting the case from the girls’ side, the movie revolves around the mystery he has to solve for justice to prevail. The film also shows the kind of demeaning questions molestation and rape victims have to face in courtroom, and how their mentally tortured through the procedure. Pink is slated to release on September 16.

Shivaay, slated to release in Diwali, is an important movie for Ajay Devgn. For the first time, he dons the director’s cap, along with starring as the lead actor. Referred to his ambitious project, the trailer was made public and it has action genre fans excited as hell. Hype around the film is similar to Salman Khan’s Dabanng, and it looks like Shivaay will be twice as huge as Dabanng was. Unlike mainstream movies, the trailer is void of dialogues, instead of which a poet is narrated by Ajay Devgn in his deep and dapper voice. Although it runs for quite a long time, at no point do you lose interest. Ajay has done a brilliant job with the movie, which is already visible from the kind of tactics and efforts he used for the movie. Shivaay will definitely be a huge step for action genre movies in India and will hit theatres on October 28.

Freaky Ali

Any movie that is associated with Salman Khan is a blockbuster even before it is released. Written by Sohail Khan and produced by Salman, Freaky Ali stars Nawazuddin Siddique and Arbaaz Khan, with Amy Jackson as the female lead. As always, the star of the trailer is Nawazuddin, absolutely nailing it with his comic timing and acting skills. Inspired by Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore, the movie centers around the life of a debt collector for a local goon whose life takes a drastic turn. Nawazuddin is in a never seen before avatar, playing the title character Freaky Ali, who against all odds stuns everyone with his golfing skills, a game that is regarded as the game of elites. While Nawazuddin fans will watch it for his comical role that he has never done before, Salman fans will watch it because ‘bhai ki movie’. Freaky Ali looks exciting and worth every penny, releasing on September 9.

Riteish Deshmukh, who is seen as the lead after a long time hits the right chords with Banjo trailer. ‘Banjo ki duniya ka Bachchan’, as he’s referred to as in the movie, Banjo is about the life of Maharashtra’s Banjo players who are approached by Nargis Fakhri’s character for original music. It’s a story of struggle that these Banjo players have to face in a world that has moved on from this instrument and music. Riteish looks completely different from the kind of roles he’s played, donning a rockstar look that suits him perfectly. Nargis looks out of place like her other movies, but it’s too early to say anything about her. The trailer has as all talking about Riteish, and how it’s going to enhance his acting skills to the fullest after Ek Villain. Here’s hoping that the movie is just as exciting and fresh as it’s trailer. Banjo will release on September 23.

Here’s to a broke September and October, cheers!
