“Weekends used to be fun.” That is nothing but statement, and yet true. Thanks to the COVID situation, the life out of our enthu-packed weekends has been sucked out. No more do we get to go clubbing, or drinking or even to a nice decent restaurant. All that is left of our weekends now is lazying around, devoid of purpose! Well hang tight because this is going to be a long ride. But it will be over someday for sure.
While we are eagerly waiting for our fun weekends to come back like a dog who sits by the door waggling its tail waiting for his hooman to come back, we have some easy-to-go activities listed here for you to spruce up your weekends:
- Indoor Picnic
Got a roof? Or a balcony? Or even a nice rug to sit on? Then get an indoor picnic going! Set out some sandwiches, muffins, wine and board games to play with your family or roommates.

- Plant Seedlings
Start a rewarding experience of planting seedlings and watching them grow. The little blooms bring a new life to your place and you get to enjoy every second of it!

- Movie Night on Netflix
Miss going out on movies with your friends? Well no more do you have to slump around missing. Host a Netflix party inviting all your friends, pop out some popcorn and you favorites with them.

- Cook
You got a lot of time on your hands. Why not use it to get creative!? Take out your fancy china to serve some delicious recipes.

- Karaoke
Plug in some speakers, and get some music going. Arrange a karaoke night with your family and reminisce with your go-to songs.

- Pick a new book
Not every weekend is supposed to be a hype. You should have some days when you can just curl up with a blanket, some coco and a nice book.

- Host a virtual party
Virtual parties are all the rage right now. With online platforms like Zoom, you can add as many as hundred people and host a n amazing party. You can play some group games, hire a musician and get to know each other better, all via a laptop screen!

The pandemic is here to stay with us for a long time. And while it is a tough deal, we have to make it work with a positive outlook. Make the most of your time and remember it is only but a matter of time when we get to go back to when things were normal.
