It is rightly said that Mumbai is a city that never sleeps, especially on weekends. We often introduce Mumbai as a ‘City that never sleeps’ or ‘City of dreams’ and many more, It’s a mix of all the things…like a Cocktail!!! Mumbai is most crowded during the weekends. You will see many people roaming around spending time with their family and friends.
If you are a bit confused as to what to do in Mumbai on weekends, below we have listed down a few things that you can do on a weekend in Mumbai
1. Go on a Shopping Spree –
There is no better way to spend your weekend in Mumbai than shopping. And by shopping, I mean traditional street shopping and not shopping in malls where you will get everything under one roof. Mumbai street will offer you a more amusing experience than malls and boutiques. There are multiple places where you can go for street shopping but I will suggest you to go Hill road, Bandra and Colaba Causeway, Churchgate. These two are the most loved street shopping areas by youngsters as well as adults.
2. Explore the Beautiful Beaches of Mumbai –
These sandy beaches are always open throughout the week. I will suggest you go in the evening time to witness the beautiful sunsets of Mumbai. Juhu beach is mostly crowded on the weekend so if you want some peace, you can go to Versova Beach which is around 4km away from Juhu beach via the Juhu Versova link road. Apart from these two, you can also visit Aksa Beach, Gorai Beach and Manori Beach where you will find less crowd as compared to Versova and Juhu beach.

3. Stroll on Marine Drive –
One of the most iconic spots of Mumbai, Marine Lines…It is a must-visit here if you are someone who is completely new to this city. Many people simply stroll or sit next to the promenade for hours. You will also get to witness the sunrise and sunset with the fresh breeze. Sunday streets on Marine lines is an awesome initiative by Mumbai Police to use the streets for recreational activities such as yoga, jogging, skating, dancing and cultural activities. Every Sunday large chunk of people gather here and have great fun doing fun activities. The best way to start your Sunday morning 😉
